We build the tools, but our schools make the magic: Celebrating Northfield School’s T4 milestone.
At Matific, we often say that we build the engine, but the teachers are the ones steering the ship. We design the games, the AI, and the math challenges, but the real magic only happens when a passionate school takes those tools and transforms a regular classroom into a hub of curiosity.
That’s why this week, our entire team had a massive reason to smile. Red Educativa Itínere (the network behind Northfield School) has just been named a global finalist for the T4 Education Awards.
Red Educativa Itínere (Itínere Educational Network) is an innovative network comprising nine schools across Argentina and Uruguay: two Northfield Schools, two Faro Schools, Lighthouse School, The Global School, and South Creek School in Argentina, as well as two North Schools in Uruguay. The network has been recognized as one of the World’s Best Schools to Work, highlighting its commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.
"The Best School to Work certification provides us with an accurate assessment of our organisational culture and allows us to benchmark ourselves against international standards. Itínere's management is based on information and data to strengthen the well-being and development of our teams. We joined Best School to Work because we want to measure, learn, and keep improving, knowing that motivated and well-supported teachers create the best learning experience for our students."
-Darío Álvarez Klar: Founder of Red Educativa Itínere
Why does this matter so much to us? Because we know exactly what it takes to get there. When Matific won the T4 EdTech Prize, we experienced firsthand the rigorous standards of this global community. T4 doesn't just look for good schools; they look for pioneers. They look for educators who are brave enough to rethink how things have always been done.
When Darío Álvarez Klar and his team chose Matific as their pedagogical partner for mathematics, they weren't looking for "just another app" to fill screen time. They wanted to change how their students felt about math. They wanted to replace frustration with "aha!" moments. They embraced our gamified world and trusted our AI to help their teachers personalize learning for every single kid.
Seeing a Latin American school network reach the finals of the "World Cup of Education" is a victory for the entire region. But for us, as their partners in the daily trenches of teaching math, it feels deeply personal.
To the teachers, leaders, and students at Northfield School and the whole Itínere network: we are giving you a standing ovation. Thank you for showing the world what innovative, joyful education looks like. We couldn't be prouder to be part of your journey!
