Córdoba Makes History: Financial Literacy for more than 13,000 students with Matific
The Municipality of Córdoba has taken a major step towards the future of education by launching the first Financial Education Guidelines for Primary Schools. This pioneering public policy in Argentina aims to prepare students for the challenges of today’s world, and at Matific, we are proud to be part of this transformation.
“Talking about economic and financial literacy in Córdoba means taking on the new challenges the world presents us with,” highlighted Mayor Daniel Passerini during the official launch.
Large-Scale Impact
The implementation of this curriculum framework is already a reality across municipal kindergartens, primary schools, and Educational Parks throughout the city. The scale of the project reflects a genuine commitment to quality education:
- More than 13,000 students have already been reached by the program.
- More than 170 teachers have been trained and are using innovative platforms.

“This initiative aims to prepare our students to better understand the world they live in, develop critical thinking, and gain the tools to make responsible decisions in their everyday lives,” said Education Secretary Alicia La Terza.
Learning by Doing: Matific’s Role
Through a game-based learning approach, students engage with concepts related to responsible decision-making, critical thinking, responsible consumption, planning, saving, and the safe use of digital tools. Understanding money as a social tool has never been more accessible for young learners.
This learning ecosystem would not be possible without the strong collaboration between the public sector and key financial and cooperative organisations such as Bancor and Instituto Movilizador de Fondos Cooperativos, both of which support teacher training initiatives.
At Matific, we continue to demonstrate that mathematics and financial education are essential life skills for everyday living. We’re proud to keep opening new pathways for the future of education.
