Matific Accessibility Statement

At Matific, we are committed to making our website and learning platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that every student should have equal access to high-quality mathematics education, regardless of their abilities.

Our Commitment

Matific strives to ensure digital accessibility by:

  • Adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards.
  • Continuously improving the usability and accessibility of our platform.
  • Providing an equivalent accessible learning experience for students who may not be able to interact with certain gamified elements.

Accessible Learning Experience

As a gamified educational platform, we recognize that not all interactive game-based elements can be made fully accessible. To ensure that all students receive the same pedagogical benefits and learning outcomes, we offer an accessible equivalent version of activities. This alternative maintains the core educational value while providing an inclusive experience for students who require additional accessibility support.

Accessibility Features

To enhance accessibility, Matific includes:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All essential learning interactions can be accessed via keyboard.
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Our platform supports popular screen readers. Has been tested with NVDA, JAWS and browser and OS specific readers.
  • Alternative Text & Descriptions: Key visual elements include descriptive text where necessary.
  • Customizable Display Settings: Users can adjust font sizes and contrast for improved readability.
  • Equivalent Learning Paths: Students who cannot engage with certain game-based activities will have access to an alternative format that ensures the same educational goals are met.
To use the student content equivalent version, we recommend using the NVDA screen reader with the math addon.

Ongoing Efforts

We are continually working to improve accessibility through:

  • Regular Audits: Conducting internal and external accessibility evaluations.
  • User Feedback: Encouraging feedback to enhance accessibility features.
  • Employee Training: Educating our team on best practices for digital accessibility.
